Pencil
I do my best and most detailed work with Pencil Portraits. I use colored Polychromos Pencil on White Fabriano 300lb paper.
Acrylic on Canvas
Oil on Linen Canvas
These paintings are on premium oil-primed Stretched Linen Canvas and will need framing as the edges are rough and do not have a finished look.
I use only premium oil pigmented paint and will apply a light breathable varnish for smoothness and shine.
Oil paintings do not fully dry in the under layers of paint until at least 6 months at the very minimum and can take up to a year.
If you want your painting to be archival for years after your lifetime, then after one year, and not before, you may take it to a professional and have it completely varnished and sealed – but only by someone who knows how to varnish oil paintings. This is not required, though. Do not use any commercial or other type varnishes on top of your painting.
Oil paintings need to dry for up to two weeks at minimum before shipping can occur to maintain the integrity of your painting.
